A gift can contribute to a child's development. If I had to give a gift to help a child develop, I would choose a world map, because children could see the world from a wide viewpoint, make visions for the future, and know about other countries in the world.

First and foremost, a world map would help children to see the world from a broader and wider point of view. Children do not know about the world, because they don't have the chance to experience it as they live in a fixed environment. Through the world map, children could realize the fact that the world is huge and be more curious about it.

Second, children could make visions for their future. Children could later be travelers, or diplomats, and travel from place to place. For example, Han Bi-Ya, a traveler, who traveled around the world many times, wrote in her book that the world map which her parents bought her helped her dream about traveling.

Third, it is easy for children to know about different countries in the world. There are a lot of countries and children could know their locations and features through the map. Also, they could find information about the countries they are interested in.

To conclude, I would choose a world map to help a child develop, because they could see the world more widely, set visions, and know about various countries in the world. Even though books and dolls could be a good thing for a child's development, I think the world map is better.

People usually choose whether to travel alone or in group whenever they travel somewhere new. In my case, I prefer traveling alone rather than traveling in group for the following reasons. First, I can choose where to go according to my interest. Second, I feel freer traveling alone. Third, planning places to travel give me more impression on the place I visit. I will explain this with two different experiences on trip to Jeju island and Thailand.

The first reason why I prefer traveling alone is that I can choose where to go according to my interest. If we travel in group, the schedule is already planned with places that most people would like. However, some places do not meet my interest. For example, when I went to Thailand three years ago, I was sleeping all through the travel that nothing except going to zoo seemed interesting to me. As another example, when I went to Jeju island few months ago, I traveled with my family and could go around the places that I wanted to visit. I really enjoyed it.

The second reason is that I feel freer traveling alone. When we travel in group, we have limited time in places to visit. For instance, an hour to look around a zoo. It depends on me how much time I want to spend there. I can spend more time there if I like to see around in certain places. However, time is limited while traveling in group. For example, when I went to Thailand, I did not want to spend much time shopping around there. However, judged by the fact that many people to, I had to stay there for a long time meaninglessly.

The last reason is that planning places to travel give me more impression on the place I visit. If I travel alone, it is me who have to plan all the places to visit and schedule time table. This would require lots of work researching about the places that I visit and would I find it easier to understand about those places. For instance, I really forgot what I did in Thailand that I did not have interest in where I was visiting and could not easily understand about the places I visited easily. However, In a trip few months ago to Jeju Island, I planned all the schedule and researched about the places that I wanted to visit. By doing this, I could participate more while I was traveling and understand about the places I visited.

To conclude, I prefer traveling alone that I can choose places to visit according to my interest, I will not be limited in time to visit certain places that I do not like to spend too much time, and by planning places to visit and researching about them by my hand, and I can participate more while traveling and understand about the places much easier. I really enjoyed traveling only with my family to Jeju island and is planning to visit Japan just like this. Then, I would probably enjoy the trip to Japan, too.
